Goldman Sachs
Goldman is a very large and respected company.
They do two things really well.
First, they use their brand name and investment research to promote their proprietary tactical views.
Second, they have a strong allocation to the US Large Cap Growth market, which has done well for them.
Where we think Symmetry is different
We focus on a strategic long-term allocation that is globally diversified and focuses on the academic factors that have been identified to drive the long-term returns. Secondly, Symmetry’s style lends itself to be a very tax-efficient model manager.
As you are working with your client’s needs, if a brand name and dynamic approach is what they need, then GSAM might be a better option. However, if your client is looking for a tax-efficient, long-term solution backed by academic research, then Symmetry would be a better option.
